Ryerson Competition
In Fall of 2017, we sent a team to Orlando, FL to compete in the Ryerson Invitational Thrill Design Competition.There were 8 different categories available to compete in and our team placed first in two of them. Our team placed second overall in the competition, tied with two other teams.
in Fall 2018, a new team was sent down to compete placing first in the Attraction Design challenge. Both years, we were granted with free admission through the event to IAAPA. This allows our organization to not only compete and meet with other students interested in the industry, but also gives us the opportunity to see new industry innovations and upcoming projects.

Conferences
SkyNEXT
SkyNEXT is an annual conference for students hosted by Skyline Attractions. The conference has a max attendance of 50 students and an application must be submitted to attend. We have sent students to the 2017 and 2018 conferences. At the conference, students hear from speakers in the industry and see developing attractions.

ASTM F24
ASTM F24 is a biannual conference organized to discuss and set safety standards within the amusement rides and devices industry. Students are given an amazing opportunity to meet and network with people all across the industry as well as learn about how safety standards are developed and researched. Our organization has attended 3 times (Spring 2017 and 2018 in NOLA and Spring 2019 in Houston). At the most recent event we were able to sign up to assist with reference checking the documents. Trips
Pope's Haunted FarmWe got a backstage tour of all 4 attractions at Pope's Haunted Farm. The tour included information on the haunted house/attraction industry as well as how "scares" are produced and how to deal with competition.

DeSoto CavernsDeSoto Caverns invited the club to attend a private tour of their park. We learned about their business model and future innovations the company is heading towards. We had the opportunity to pitch ideas and possibly work with them on future projects.

OWAOWA is a new amusement park in Foley, AL that we had the privilege of touring. We learned about the design and layout process of creating the park as well as experienced all the parks current rides.
